Founder and Professional Pastry Chef, Melissa Owen, attended the Pacific Institute of Culinary Arts on Granville Island in Vancouver, BC. Following graduation she worked for some of Vancouver's finest establishments for baked goods, including Meinhardt's Fine Foods, Sweet Obsession, and the Vancouver Art Gallery Cafe. She now specializes in the finest fresh organic desserts, cakes, and pastries, offering them up at Oso Negro, Ellisons, The Kootenay Coop and Evergreen in Crescent Valley.
