It cannot be a bad day when there is sunshine, sandy beach, square cupcakes and a sailboat.
It just can't.
Nicole and Kihenjo's day started at the family's property in Nelson where they were married on the beach to the sound of a harpist, African singing the bride's processional and gentle winds blowing the colorful scarves laid out as she walked to her groom.
Beautiful beautiful sounds.
There were family pictures with beloved relatives including those living locally and abroad, including some of Kihenjo's family from Kenya. We then visited neighbor Shelley Adams, Whitewater cookbook author and sailboat owner, where the couple toasted one another, white sails against brilliant blue sky. The Hume's Library Lounge played host to many cheers and celebration and later onto the reception room with the most tangible love I have witnessed, shared between the families of both the bride and groom. It was a thing of beauty!
